Iho is Belfast’s newest vegetarian cafe – but many will already be familiar with it from its days as Black Bear.

Now owned by the lovely people of Check Out My Buns, most of what they sell is vegan and they’ve got rid of the bacon entirely!

So let’s start with the pancakes. They pretty much speak for themselves… so much gorgeousness on one plate! Above is the banana maple walnut combo while below is the raspberry pistachio one.

We love them! Proper vegan yumminess for a a brunch that will set you up for the rest of the day.

If, on the other hand, you want to visit for lunch, they do a great range of soups and stews. Here are just two of their lovely bowls of soup:

But what if you work in the city centre and can’t get to Stranmillis for a work day lunch? Don’t panic! Iho soups and stews are available in the Green Room at the Black Box on Hill St on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
